1. Data controller
The controller is FARO – Fondamenti della fisica: Associazione per la Ricerca Ontologica, an association currently being established and the promoter of the Como 1927–2027 conference. Contact: faro@associazionefaro.org.
2. Data we process
Registration forms collect name, email address, affiliation, participation type and optional remarks. Abstract submissions also collect the proposed topic, title and abstract text. The server records security data such as IP address, date and time, requested URL and user agent.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Submission data is used to administer registrations, assess abstracts and communicate about the conference, as steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Technical data is processed for the legitimate interest of securing and operating the service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use this data for advertising or profiling.
4. Required data
Fields marked as required are necessary to process the registration or abstract. Without them we cannot accept the submission. Optional remarks are provided voluntarily.
5. Recipients and service providers
Data is available only to authorised conference organisers and, for their technical functions, hosting and backup providers and the Infomaniak email service. Providers act under the roles and safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.
6. Retention
Registration and abstract records will be deleted or anonymised no later than 24 months after the conference, unless a longer period is required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Technical logs are normally retained for 14 days unless needed for a security investigation.
7. Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability where applicable, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
8. Automated decisions
We do not use profiling or solely automated decisions for registrations or abstracts.
9. Updates
We may update this notice when the event, services or applicable requirements change. The latest revision date appears above.
